This is the song I danced with my “Dad” to at my wedding! He’s been my dad since I was 6 years old, even though he didn’t have to be!! ❤

This is Brad's story. His Mom found a real man. A real Dad. It has nothing to do with blood. Just the ♥

This is how it happened to me and my son. He was 12 when my now husband came into our lives. My son and I were both scared to death, but we took a chance and my husband was the answer to our prayers. I made it clear from day one that we were a package deal and my husband accepted that fully. My son and my elderly father both gave me away at our wedding 💒. Now my son is 34 with 4 kids of his own and he's such a good father. We owe it to my husband. He was the father he didn't have to be. Thank you for your reaction. Blessings to you!

This is my story too. I was a single mom with a 5 yr old daughter and a 2 month old son when we started talking and writing letters and one month later he asked me to marry him. 5 months later we got married and he adopted my two and then we had a son. August will be our 25th Anniversary. No one thought we would make it past 6 months. But with Jesus at the center of our relationship, we are still hopelessly in love. He didn't have to accept my kids, but he became daddy to them and never looked back .

In 99, when this song came out it hit he hard. Here I was having my 6th daughter, and standing next to me at the nursery was my dad. A man who wasn't blood, but our bond was much deeper. As he raised me as his own. He was not perfect by any means, but he meant well and was always there. And although he's been gone 3 years now, at 54, I still hope to be half the father he was with me.

My son told my husband-his stepfather- that this song was how he felt about him. It brought tears to my eyes.

Brad has a way of singing either a funny song ( I’m gonna miss her) or a story song, that grabs you by the toes, and pulls you inside out, with emotions.
Check out his duet with Alison Krause, “Whisky Lullaby “. (Make sure you watch the version with Ricky Schroeder in the accompanying video.), a real tear jerker.

Songs like this give us a better understanding of who AB is and what HE's about. Add them up and you see he's not only a good reactor but a good human 🙏.

I was an On-Air personality when this song came out. It is so relatable for so many people in this divorce culture world we live in.

This song reminds me of my sister and her husband each one became not a step parent but a parent to the others kids and the kids think of each other as brothers and sisters not step siblings. They've been a family since the mid 90's.

Was a single mom, my son was 8 days old when my now husband told me that we were his forever, and 32 yrs later still the only man my son has ever called dad. This is their song, literally. Xo
