You have the opening that goes jerky. Check the battery compartment, lift the hydraulic pump and check the electric motor well, probably water got in and dirty the electric motor... I had the same problem.

Ethier low on.fluid or the actuator is on its way out

Maybe it has something to do with the bolts and other parts just thrown around inside the roof trunk
