Today I reacted to Bleacher Report saying the Detroit Pistons will sell off half of their young talent and veterans at the deadline because Trajan Langdon didn't draft the young core of players the Pistons currently have.

Hardaway is a prime deadline trade piece. A contender usually wants to add 3 PT shooting.

We can probably get more draft picks at the deadline than after the season is over.

Plus even if we win 14 of the first 42 why keep guys around to hurt our draft position if we can get good value and lose more games down the stretch.

I honestly think the guy that wrote the article is probably pretty accurate. If the pistons wins 22 games this year it will be a miracle. No down low defense and the probability of Cade, Hardaway and others staying healthy are low.

They damn well better be sellers at the deadline: it is still a hopelessly awful roster, and they really screwed themselves when they wasted their cap space on Tobi instead of asset collection.

They remain fucked because they are still the stupidest team out of 30 by a wide margin, even after firing Weaver.

How many evaluation years do you need? How many coaches has Lebum had… people still know what he is and can do…. No way you need to do another year of evaluating Ivey or these other players to know what they are…
