It's not the tire it's lack of horsepower

good review, I had some serious mud tires on my can-am, switched to swamp lites bias and what a difference, i dont spend my time in swamp or muskeeg so the trade offs were great handling, traction and better feel plus still got me thru the mud as they prpel you forward and dont dig to china lol.

I run 4 1/2 lbs in my 30" Cryptids on a Sport. Know a guy purchased a Outlander MR & went to air down after 2 weeks riding to discover zero air in any of the tires.

My 2019 Maverick Sport XMR came stock with ITP Cryptic and for what the machine was designed for there perfect, MUD AND ROCKS! I too dont get the "rock" part, ALL tires suck on wet slippery rocks, it's the size of Lugs that set you apart and in mud too, YOUR NOT WRONG, each tire is designed for specific purposes, IE: NO Canadian in Ontario lol would run All Season tires in winter = stupid!! Much like the majority of Golf Cart tires that come stk on most machines, wow talk about general purpose!! But that's not the riding we do, we want a challenge and to test our machines to the limit. So dont kid yourself you need the most aggressive tire out there, and NO they wont prevent High Centering!! LMAO I just put 35 x 8.5 x 20's on Motohavok tires and wheels, they make the ITP's look like lawn tracker tires!! lol I'm very impressed, even road riding with MASSSIVE lugs is smooth thanks to the surprising contact patch on road, it's a tractor tread with a twist. Sorry for the Jibber Jabber, but you hit on a hard topic, 99% would be fine with stk tires, guys like us well we will never be 🤙😎

Got them on my 2023 Polaris sportsman 570 trail! 27x10 wide all around and they’re great!

In my experience most big lug mud tires even on atvs just dig down I would say just a good all-terrain tire seem to be the best

They are not bad in the deep sticky mud. I did end up getting stuck n bogged out just the once. They're not bad on the trail but wouldn't rely on them for most dry apps. They're a bit slow in the deep snow. Couldn't hit more than 50kmph. They're ok but I'm looking for a different tire.

I'd say they aren't a true mud but people say they are. I'd say really aggressive trail tire. If I rode more mud, I'd do better mud tire. For wet mud fields and that sure these are fine. Hard packed they seem nice and ride well. The soft sand and soft gravel I tend to dig in too much and slows down but then these aren't ment for that and for those I'd want more of the maxis bighorn. Overall I'm happy with the cryptids since I'm not going in mud too high over the foot wells. A lot of the wet rocks I've went over weren't too bad but haven't done anything too intermediate but have done okay. I run at 5-6lbs inflated but with there was just a touch more sidewall give but itp making it more a mud tire I understand the no give. Overall I like the tire and if I can get them on sale for when mine wear out I'll buy another set. I wouldn't mind getting a dedicated hard packed trial tire

Thinking very seriously about ordering these for my Pioneer 1000. I’d get the 30x10x14.

Check out the ITP Terrahooks (light), the Sedona Trailsaw or Rockabilly, another newer option I'm looking at for a SUPER aggressive trail/mud tire is the new Legacy ACP.

I flipped mine backwards so they're more like a paddle instead of digging, seems to be doing ok
I have 32in Cryptids on a Kawasaki Teryx

I have the Blackwater Evos on the Grizzly and they work great. You should give them a try. Tough tire with 8ply construction. I will admit that they bog down in loose gravel or sand. I would suspect that they would work way better on a SxS. Since I put them on, the bottom end is lagging in power a bit.

Im thinking about buying a 2022 x3 xmr and it comes with these, i see a lot of people trade them for carnivores (which i might) but im not going in deep mud with it just wet muddy trails no holes so I think they’d be fine?

Main st cycle dsaid the opposite about them digging down? Also by looking at your machine. You don't have enough ground clearance. You are bottoming out. Not tires foult

How many times have you been stuck this year? Just wondering about the contest.

The machine is part of the problem.. designed in 2012 and outdated now... major difference in the new commander as you've likely noticed with your dads machine. Wheelbase, ground clearance, suspension travel. Engine/air intake placement, hp and many more factors.. lift kits are the worst thing to add to a sxs. Changes geometry and kills the suspension travel, which the OG commanders lack from the beginning.

A new machine would make your riding more enjoyable. Even a new commander would be good as its basically a sport machine with a dump bed but the machine your dad has is perfect for what you could use.
