We have the Canon iR ADV C5840 - so used your video to start to fix the error due to MS365 updates - Oct 2024: There was only one thing I think you missed (?), as I worked with the Canon tech, who didn't know the initial steps, but fixed the "User Authentications" for me.

Finally after disabling the MFA, connection was successful however printer is still giving out the auth error. I can see that it has been authenticated in office 365.

Good day, great video thank you. We have about 20 copiers here a the county I work for, moving from on-prem pass through to O365. Does the authenticated user HAVE to have an O365 license? I did give the copiers account admin permissions in O365 and all email apps selected.

I hope you're doing fine. I have a problem. I completed the SMTP setup on my printer, and it worked successfully during the test. However, when I try to scan, I encounter a bug, and the printer shows an error on the paper.

i just respect the full guidance of this video but i am still getting this error while trying to check SMTP connection: SMTP authentication (SMTP AUTH) error. Check that [User Name], [Password], and the other settings for [SMTP Authentication (SMTP AUTH)] in Authentication/Encryption Settings are correct.

Any help please.

Hi, I followed the same process and enabled SMTP Auth for the user. But while testing the connection from printer side, I am getting SMTP Auth error. If I do not use TLS then the connection is successful but with the TLS I am getting such error. Any help would be appreciated on how to get this TLS working.

we configured scan to mail still yestarday worked but now it is not working nothing error it is showing but log result -- it showing and mail not recevied what is th issue how to fix it

Remove that music from your video. It serves no purpose. Is highly distracting and if someone wants to listen to this video at a higher speed the music makes it impossible. Intro music is good but music throughout the video is not worth it!
