Tbh, Fortnite has a hug skill gap between an average player, creative sweat, and comp players. Average players often have decent mechanics, but usually fails to use editing and building for combat. Creative sweats are usually better in terms of editing skills than comp players, however as they spend majority of their time playing creative maps such as 1v1 build fight, box fights, and zone wars, they often lack in-game sense and aim compared to comp players. Comp players may lose a creative 1v1 to a creative sweat, but is usually have a higher chance of winning in an actual match.
