you have no idea how many of us chuckled when you said 'let's see if he can play the guitar' lol

He wears the bucket and mask to cope with anxiety. Not sure if its stage fright or agoraphobia but hes notoriously private and for many years no one even knew his name. He loves basketball and has several songs dedicated to Jordan and Lebron. He also has several songs dedicated to his mom and his aunt Suzie. One of his best is a nearly 30 minute ballad for his late mom called "Hold Me Forever". He hands out quirky toys at his shows and is known to play requested songs on the spot. He has over 300 studio albums of original compositions. A very humble man whos genius on the guitar is unmatched.

He's not trolling with the bucket. He was born in coop, raised in a cage. He is the guitar GOAT.

This guy brings tears to my eyes, not only is he a great guitar player and played for a short while with Guns and Roses he's the most unique individual in the world in my opinion. Suffers from anxiety, stays as private as possible, never swears or curses, refuses big time contracts and chooses to play in these dive holes, hands out quirky gifts, lets others play his guitar, loves his mom and family more than anything and talks to big time managers through puppets while being a vantruiliquest, lol

The nicest musician I ever met. A rare thing indeed in any business but especially rock music. Brian wears the bucket because of incredible stage fright.he told me he was just wanted to take care of his mother and family he really loved his mother .He has put out more albums than any musician I think 445 ❤

I've seen him live 22 times. He is 6'7, the greatest guitarist in the world, and he does knunchuks, robot dances, moonwalks, and gives out toys to people in the front row. I never miss an opportunity to see him live. His performances with Primus and with Les Claypool are awesome.

One of the finest guitarists to ever live. Utterly unique and gifted beyond measure.

I read an interview from one of the editors of Guitar Player Magazine, and he has "sponsored" a number of young guitarists over the years, and Buckethead came and lived with his family for a time. The editor said that was a really kind person, who would spend hour after hour in his room, just playing his guitar, for 9 or 10 hours straight. He said that while he had a natural aptitude for playing guitar, the amount of time and effort he spent practicing and learning was mind blowing, and that's what really makes his playing so spectacular.

I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Bucket, I'm not sure if even those that like and follow him know all the work sessions and behind the scene work this guy has done. He's a monster player and if anyone argues that he doesn't belong with the top 10 of all time, then they really don't know him... Just a great guy and off the hook talent!

"He was born in a coop, raised in a cage,
children fear him, critics rage.
He's half alive, he's half dead.
Folks just call him Buckethead."

So glad I subbed your channel! Buckethead is amazing! This is by far my favorite song by him. It's unreal how many songs he's written. It's truly unbelievable. He's written 3, 191 songs. He was also hired by Guns n Roses during a tour. He is a super nice guy too. Always handing out toys and props at his shows. He has a super heart and he pours it all into his guitar playing. One of a kind.

His music is so spiritual to me, he lets his music speak for itself and avoids the limelight as much as possible. One of the last genuine men left in the industry.

Here's a neat trick. Google Buckethead and any songtitle of him you want to try. With luck you get 10 hits and you hear him play the same fiendishly difficult song 10 totally different ways and they all work.

This Soothsayer was totally unlike all his other Soothsayers.

Brilliant!

Buckethead aka Brian Patrick Carroll currently is my favorite guitarist . Only discovered him three years ago via Pandora. There is a video of him unmasked . Seems to me he's shy, self conscious, can't sing and fortunately not like others won't torture us trying. I respect that. Also if he was standing in front of you at the grocery store line you wouldn't know who he is. Reminds me a little like Jim Morrison in looks.

" He's called buckethead... because he's got a bucket on his head" - priceless :-)))

Buckethead is a robot from a galaxy far far away, raised by chickens so he's gonna be a bit qurky but with nearly 600 hundred albums he is a music machine.
