What a great band ! I can't believe they were completely off my radar in the 90's .

Who are these jaded feebs in the audience. In the 90’s we would have been backflipping into the crowd.

I was up there right near the front. I mix sound myself, so I pay a lot of attention to that, but I have to say, this sounded FANTASTIC live. Some bands sound okay live, but the cd is much more listenable. But some live performances are like an orchestral concert: the cd is far inferior. This was of the later, if you were in the right spot.
Also, I really do dig the fact that Chavez actually look like normal people and not "rock stars". Fight the man.

Matt’s live vocals sound fantastic. Wow.

Sweeney looks like OTIS from "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer"

All the Pitchfork festival videos have really weak audio unfortunately. Chavez still rule though.

But yes, pitchfork did a bad job in post production for this video's sound.

Chavez is amazing but this video hardly captures them in all their greatness. everything sounds subdued. their Jimmy Fallon videos are better

Very bad mixing. Is not helpful to present to a big audience
