Starbucks isn’t coffee. It’s a candy store. Support your local coffee shop

I'm so glad. I stopped going to Starbucks after I paid over 7.00 for essentially a large cup of ice.

why does Starbucks have to come to the table to bargain? Employees agreed to the terms and conditions when they got hired

Oh darn. I guess people will have to go to one of the 12 competitors within a mile radius. Also, imagine being in a union for a job you can be trained to do in half a shift.

Most times, when I see Starbucks, I just think gentrification. Starbucks is a nice treat, but seeing it everywhere is too much!

The amount of people saying "oh no, how will i deal with not going to get my coffee there" or "it is high school job so they should make high school money" have no idea about life itself.

Either they are bots or are really that slow.

Neither Starbucks nor Amazon have any impact on my lifestyle. I am always astounded by the mass market’s appetite for paying a premium for terrible products and services. I only like local and privately owned small to mid sized made to order bakeries with coffee-latte-tea offerings that come in ceramic mugs. And the costs are comparable to a crappy mass market place like Starbucks etc….

How about just finding a job at a place that actually values you? Plain and simple—why bother trying to form a union at Amazon when they clearly don’t care about their employees in the first place? Just quit and let them face the consequences of losing their workforce. At the end of the day, even if you succeed in forming a union, you’ll still be working for the same company, and they’ll continue making way more money than you anyway.

The CEO of UHC (I don’t condone violence) plus the Starbucks and Amazon strikes. The port strikes a few months ago. It’s good that people are rising up. Enough is enough. Wealth inequality is out of control.

you need to make at least 100, 000 a year to survive these days.everything went to hell in the past 4 years.

When companies literally rake in millions/ billions in profit year over year, paying their workers minimum wage is unacceptable. Those ceos could give everyone a $20 raise and it wouldn't even make a dent in their profits. This stuff is sickening
