What really gets to me is seeing 3rd generation immigrant Spanish and Asian kids here in the USA who've never set foot in their parents native countries and yet speak fluent Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Mongolian and Hindi. I watch these kids at the mall with their peers talking in their parents native language yet kids who are born and bred in an African country don't even speak one native language. It really kills my soul how we are not realizing that in a few decades our culture and language would be lost.

Past experiences scare us into thinking that marriage is hostile. But when you with the right person, they make everything so easy and you don't have any reason to say no to it.

Bongane my brother you got yourself a real authentic down to earth woman, So woman enough that some man weren't Man enough to realise that...To a point that Zintle was against marriage but you managed to convince her otherwise just by showing her love and respect my brother...DJ Zintle congratulations my sister you deserve it and more

My husband speaks English and I speak Xhosa! I want my kids to know how to speak Xhosa fluently, I don’t know how I’ll put that off but it needs to happen!

Most African parents think just because their kids speak only English, it automatically means the kids are smart hence most parents aren't even speaking to their kids in their native languages. We are losing as Africans shame
