How to Use Workflowy to Organize Your Marketing

Показать описание
Silly as it may seem...the biggest reason I chose to go full steam with Workflowy instead of some of the other platforms I tried out (Dropbox Paper, Google Docs...etc.) is because it allows you to toggle information up and down the list. My projects (and the content within them) are constantly changing priority and it helps to be able to move the information up to the top as needed so that I can quickly access it. The toggling is also useful for keeping items or lists in a linear format- moving around what needs to happen first, second, third...as it changes.
This collapsible function is great for organizing because you can keep giant amounts of copy and content in one space without scrolling through an entire document or having it look cluttered. For example I write up and keep all the copy for my marketing emails in there. The email copy are each saved individually under a collapsible bullet point with the Email Title, then that's under a collapsible bullet point of the Email Sequence, then that under the Project Name, then that under the Account name...and so on. It's a bit tricky to explain here (so be sure to check out the video!), but trust me- it's amazingly clean and simple.
One of the main reasons I love it is the linear layout which makes is so easy to see your marketing campaigns in chronological order. You can create an outline for your strategy or funnel, with all the steps and even copy saved underneath without looking cluttered. It's the perfect combo of global view + detailed information.
I've also been using it to save emails that I copy straight over to Active Campaign, store resources and notes from my industry research, and even help me in writing my book (since I can collapse all the chapters and see the global outline).
It's solved a lot of my problems and has kept me pretty organized since I started using it (which is saying a lot) so I wanted to give it a shout out here in case anyone else is looking for a fresh way to organize their marketing content! Have you tried Workflowy before? Are there other software or ways you organize your own marketing content? I'd be super stoked to hear any other ideas, please share in the comments below!
