I love these kind of action games, the game doesn’t force you to play by one coherent set of constraints laid out by the combat system, but rather it gives you modular pieces that each solves a different sub problem and presents bosses as unique sets of sub problems. Different play styles shine at different moment in one encounter and this is so wonderful.

Will of the Wykes + Lightning Orb + Gouge will absolutely SHRED an enemies stagger bar.

I was fully sleeping on orb initially due to it being stationary. But if you use this combo after hitting them with the garuda grab thing (just after you get the mini stagger at 50% HP) you basically delete their stagger bar. Then smash your limit break, target the orb, go HAM, and hit with a wind up JUST as they're about to break free of stagger.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I fall to the ground before I can use charge lift. It's like my charge lift is very slow

Lol. Love how they actually had the dmc guy make the combat in this game. That air stomp is straight out of dmc. May pick this one up and go straight for hard mode. ... is there a hard mode?

Every advanced combo guide I've seen is purely centered around Phoenix, Garuda, and Titan. Almost like the last 4 out of 7 Eikons aren't as fun, useful, or impressive combo-wise. I was hoping I might be missing something in thinking the last 4 Eikon sets weren't as fun, but these guides seem to confirm the first 3 are the best. Though I did like Shivas cold snap from precision dodging and Mesmerize for it's fast cooldown and shooting in all directions when it's upgraded.

The correction here is that stagger is what impacts the stagger multiplier, not how many hits.
Shivas Diamond Dust and heat, Gouge works great to increase the multiplier because they focus on stagger, not damage

I don’t think you mentioned using garudas deadly embrace while mid air to keep combos going, as well as phoenix shift when timed right

qq - which controller mapping do you recommend using to most easily do these combos and charge magic? I've read controller layout C but curious about your input

Not technically a launch, but you can also get a head start on an air cobo by jumping and using Deadly Embrace. It has good distance on it too
