There are two glasses on the side, and middle glass is cracked. I think it's as safe as a normal staircase glass.

Worked in window manufacturing industry on 1980s did this with tempered glass door lites and made it into a coffee table..but took mine 1 step higher put food coloring packets in middle before .Interesting mixture.

I don't know but at one of site I asked few of these glasses to be changed with plain one. I didn't know that cracked glass es will also become a famous design..
