I'm honestly concerned about churches in comfortable first world countries. I fear we have grown lukewarm and distracted. The last church my family and I attended seemed wonderful to me at first. We got involved and helped out, but the atmosphere was very cliquey and cold. I totally forgive anyone who hurts me. I know I can say and do things that can be taken wrong. I just don't know why I have felt disconnected in the churches I've attended in the past. I want so badly to be around other Christians and encourage people.

I think I disagree here. We need Jesus not fellow sinners. I think I've found myself to be more zealous by myself (feeling alone and totally dependent on God) than being appeased by the company of people.

I think it might be a form of idolatry to "need" Christians around you.
