Bluetti AC200P portable power station - Review Update

The Bluetti AC200P is a real workhorse, but its operation is a little bit different from most other portable power stations in that the inverter is more heavy duty to withstand the rigors of running power equipment and other tools. In this video I explain the best way to get the most efficiency from it.

Getting out on the road is what Linda and I love to do with our converted cargo trailer camper. We're part time nomads and the nomadic lifestyle suits us to a Tee. Whether your RV is a camper van, camp trailer, travel trailer, motorhome or just a car and a tent, there's going to be something interesting for you in the videos we produce. Back roads and overlanding are part of what we do while exploring the western states for beautiful, peaceful and sometimes remote places to camp on BLM and National Forest land (public land). Taking care of ourselves as much as possible and doing our own repairs is a must because we travel on a fixed income and a limited budget. If your into being off-grid and boondocking, or doing dispersed camping whenever possible then you'll appreciate the discussions on batteries, solar panels and solar chargers or power stations and 12v refrigeration. Come on along, we're happy to have your company!

I have the original AC200 and two120W Bluetti foldable solar panels . It was a life saver during the February 2021 Texas ice storm. We lost house power for 8 days. My home is total electric. The outside temperature went down to -14 . I kept 2 refrigerators cold and ran a microwave for cooking with a Keurig for hot coffee . Lamps for lights and a small 40 year old Coleman heater . We lived in one bed room comfy . I did run a small Honda 2000 generator several times to help recharge. Could have made it without the generator with more solar panels I love my AC200 . Will keep the Honda 2000 for emergency use. In combination they are a winning pair !

I have a Bluetti AC200P and you are correct - it's a workhorse! A feature that most people don't think about until they encounter it is; the unit will not charge if it's below freezing. That's true of any LiFep04 unit not just Bluetti. All the 12 volt items in my trailer is powered from an AGM 500 watt hour battery - including a heat trace cable to warm up the Bluetti. Once the Bluetti is warmed up and starts taking a charge from my solar panels, I use the 12 volt port and plug to recharge the AGM.

Thank you for taking time to do an update, it was very nice to hear in detail how the Bluetti AC200P works 👍

Great advice about the wireless charger. I have a Toyota Tacoma with a charger shelf in the dash, and I'm sure I've probably threw keys or coins on it without thinking. If you put a solid metal object on an inductive device, you end up with an inductive cooktop - basically a transformer with a shorted secondary.

Wow never thought about the phone charging doing that thanks for the warning. Have fun traveling and stay safe.

I've had the AC200P for a while and I just haven't used it much. I knew the inverter was inefficient. I've been trying to decide if I should thake the AC200P on my next RV trip where I'll need to run the Air Conditioning or maybe the AC180 with smaller capacity but high output power. You've helped me make that decision as I want efficiency on this trip. Thank You for the to the point video.

I have a Bluetti 200p, I use my Bluetti to store the power from my Honda eu220OI generator to run my Engel refrigerator / freeze for about 24 hour. I will admit I truly enjoy my two 300AH chins smart batteries alone with a 2200 watt inverter batter

One of those things you’re thankful to have if and when you need it.👍🏻

It wouldn’t make sense to have this in my van unless I was a contractor full time! Thanks Rick good info

Interesting!! I said ours must be pulling juice even with nothing plugged in. We have the EB70s, but we noticed that it seemed to drain when we forgot to turn off the ac power. You're the first person to say they do actually keep pulling some juice. We had issues with eco mode. I turned it off. We were running a sound machine and usb fan and I guess it wasn't pulling enough for the Bluetti to think it was running anything and it would shut off in the middle of the night. That is weird about the top charging area. I hadn't thought that it would trigger it thinking it was supposed to charge something. I'll have to make sure we put nothing on top and see if that makes any difference in the length of battery life. Thanks for all the tips!!

America has a new Power Station salesman and he's good. I almost bought something I don't even need.
