This Rugby Coaching Game is designed to replicate the situations players find themselves in when they have an opportunity to break, often from counter attack. The rules can be played with as you see fit and the level of contact can be adapted for your players needs.

A key for me is that this situation is one players need to get used to executing in a single phase wherever possible, therefore, I rarely allow more than 1 ruck during the attack.

Thought of a progression…. Same team attack both sides and can add more or less support players either side meaning the defence have to organise and match numbers
