U.S. health officials are warning parents not to use three popular powdered infant formulas manufactured at a plant in Michigan that investigators recently linked to bacterial contamination.

In the 30s and 40s, 80% of bottlefed babies were given canned evaporated (full fat) milk as formula.
Recipe: 13 ounces (1 can) evaporated milk, 19 ounces sterile water, 1ounce Karo syrup (clear type).
Goat's milk was given to babies allergic to cow's milk.
Liquid baby vitamin drops (with iron) was given daily with this formula.
I think we were the healthiest generation.
