I’m totally inspired. I’ll do the sounds of photography, from switching lenses to the click of the shutter. I have a drinkware collection so I’ll ting different glasses. I’ll get out the old toys and block collections, record the snap of LEGOs. I’ll record my hand tool collection, the sound of ratchets. The exercise equipment. Cleaning sounds. Snipping weeds in the backyard. I appreciate this video. So much to explore.

I watched the video and several times, I smiled. The voice through the heater was amazing. As a professor, I give this video an A+. You Make an excellent teacher. This world of sound video, hidden and likewise, is outstanding. Thank you for demonstrating these and the equipment.

Man, thank you so much for this video😁 This reminded me of when I did a project in college to record my own sample library from in and around my home. I think remaking this would be a great way to get back into sound recording and hopefully get my start!

I think this is by far the coolest use I have seen of the geofon on your channel so far, talking into the heater.

Lovely channel, I started with your Thailand trip 👍 👍 (putting my old H5 with SSH-6... ordering the Korg CM-300 and thinking about the Float32 of the new Zoom...)

I just got a zoom h6 to record song ideas between multiple instruments quickly and maybe even band practices. But watching this makes me want to record the world and make music samples out of anything and everything. I subscribed due to your positive and inspiring personality! Take care.

I just by chance happened to watch your Iceland video this morning. That led me to your sound effects library! I downloaded 2 for a short film I'm trying to make. Then I downloaded some of your podcasts. Then driving today with my wife we listened to 2 of them. They were great stories! My wife is not even into the arts but wanted to hear more. Then I got home and watched so more videos from you guys. Then I subscribed. All just by 1 chance click. I hope you 2 don't get burned out by creating sooo much content. To me this channel would make for a really interesting reality show ( Maybe thats already what this is?) Maybe one day you could do a novelty sounds album with things like, throwing jello against a wall, running a lawnmower over a pumpkin- hey even popping lightbulbs with your boots, ...Hahah

Nice video, this is a great idea about getting started.
Could you do a video of where/how to sell the recordings from your sound library plz? Or maybe you already have video on the topic? 🤔
Thanks

This is so cool, you know what? After i got the AKG contact microphone, I started to notice my appartment differently. Wnenever i swing a door open and it has that creeking sound, i emmediately put the mic on and record :) Also very handy if you want to record knife sounds that are really disturbing ;)
