The first song I can relate to very well. Finally in love at 54 and he is 29. It never happened to me since I was younger only one or two much younger men who I met when I had split up with my ex who is now finally my ex after 4th time leaving him. He was never right and should have been single his whole life . Younger men seem to understand me and relate to me and I ignored this far to long. Now I'm finally living for the first time in my life. I can't be without him. This group good jn their time. Seem to like all the gay groups from this time voice.

This is a fantastic album by two artists that were - a bit - underrated and underappreciated. The album is full of gems and beautifully composed and executed!

This was the first band i saw without an adult with me, age 14 at Hammersmith Palais in 1986, which like many of the great venues isn't there any more. That was it, 35 years later i'm still gigging :-)

Ahhh!! I had a bootleg copy of this album on cassette tape that I begged my parents to buy for me in the mid 80s at a huge San Francisco flea market.

That same day they bought me:
Wham - make it big
Smiths - louder than bombs(?)
The Housemartins - ?
General Public -
Aztec Camera -
Crowded House -
Yaz - 2 albums on bootleg cassette

I was a teen and heard these bands by recording late night music from KUOP college station that played British pop music.

Haha I used to tape over one of my dads tape cassettes with scotch tape to record those late night progressive rock and alt music mixes.

I loved so much I wrote them down on my peachie folder to remember them so some day I could find the albums.

I was a “mod” girl (60s style mini dresses with Creeper Mary Janes) in those days haha

Ah, so many memories! A truly talented group that was not your typical 80's band by any means! La Dolarosa remains my favourite song on this album.
