Oh yeah! I totally agree! My 21yr old son talks crazy sometimes, and its completely for attn.
The internet and the media have a tin to do with how he feels and thinks about relationships, responsibilities, everything. I have to try talk some sense to him. Sometimes I get through and a lot of times I don't.
I tell to think of fb and and all that as fiction, it not real life. Problem is there are so many other kids who love drama and they love to tell your kid what they would do knowing they wouldn't really do it but want to gas light other kids to do it. The internet is a parents worst enemy for raising kids to be good, respectful, responsible adults.

I remember when the news used to have at least 1 or 2 feel-good stories in each episode... not anymore. I won't even let my kid watch it. I tell her, unless you want to be terrified and anxious than don't watch the news.

We have an entire generation of children who have been raised with participation trophies and being told that they are special and then entering the real world and finding out that they're not special and if there are no participation trophies. It's a shock. And weak minds can't handle it
