EPISODE 5 - Plaka is the district to the north of the Acropolis that corresponds pretty much to the centre of the ancient city of Athens, and retains that old, timeless feeling. Modernity hasn't penetrated much into Plaka, which keeps its old tavernas and cafes, as well as elegant examples of 19th century neoclassical architecture. A walk through Plaka can turn up all kinds of delights.
