I saw it live just a few days ago and it was the firs time it had been performed professionally where i live in over a decade (i think) and it was incredible. We weren't near the stage as it was too expensive but i highly recommend going if you can. The costumes, the lighting, the set, the choreography, the music and the dancers (specifically Odette) were all amazing.

I hated all this when my dad forced me to listen to it, after sometimes I learned to love it, because this was the only way to connect with him. Also reading, I enjoyed talking about many books and novels, I did not know how fortunate I was to have found a way to communicate with him.

I loved this piece of music as a child and as an adolescent. Over the years, even with the amount of classical music that I listen to, I sort of forgot about the Russian composers. Then my wife convinced me to play Fallout 4. Upon hearing Swan Lake on one of the in game radio stations, I was reminded of this absolute romantic and masterful work. It's been decades since I've listened to this in it's entirety. I used to have a cassette tape that my mom bought me as kid; that had The Nutcracker Suite on one side; and Swan Lake on the other. I'd listen to it with cheap headphones on until I eventually ruined the tape. If you know, you know.

I vividly remember when the Sydney Opera House had its grand opening in the 70’s, and being there..
And the next time I attended the ‘giant shells’ was for the premiere of Swan Lake (performed by the Royal Australian Ballet Company, accompanied by the The Royal Australian Orchestra).

It was sublime, and was pivotal to my lifelong love for Tchaikovsky’s works, along with Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, and Chopin..🎶😌♥️

Oasis childhood friend of Tchaikovsky and we used to watch the swans we were so poor and I could see in his eye his music was already blossoming at that early age of six or eight, it's velvet to hear from the crypt on an evening like tonight with the blowing snow in the crack of this rotting box
