Seniors shouldn't have to pay income tax on our SS retirement.All the increase in SS is offset by the increase in Medicare increases.Thanks Congress!

Whats the sense of a COLA raise if it always gets nearly negated by Medicare raise? We paid all out working lives for SS and Medicare and we still pay when retired, tax and Medicare, seems like life’s biggest ripoff.

When is our country going to start taking care of it's seniors the way they should. There are far too many seniors who can't even afford to receive care under Medicare. And the pittance we pay in Social Security is embarrassing and then on top of that we tax it. I just went on Medicare because we have to and the care we receive for me has been awful. I have been waiting a year for a back surgery that has crippled me and causes me to live in horrible pain all the time. Anytime the government administrates something you know it will be a failure. Something needs to change in this country when it comes to our seniors who do not have some cush retirement from a great job.

I filed the SS-44 and supplied my tax return showing how much loss in paycheck, plus notices from SS on premiums .. all income projections sans the job.
SSA did a great job working with me to get it adjusted. It was SO WORTH IT to do this. About $3k less in Medicare for the year.
