the GARDEN TOUR was my FAAAAVORITE!!! I would love to hear why you've stepped away from knitting as well- just curious. I have gone through breaks from knitting now and again. I feel like I only knit on socks and then like one big project a year. last year was a sweater. this year was a shawl. I do like see what you're knitting on though even if it's just socks.

The shorts look fantastic on you. If they were more tapered I don't think they'd work as well. I can relate to the hesitation on the volume though. The shorts remind me of a pair of striped pleated wide-leg pants I bought that I almost returned because wearing that much fabric in such a statement fabric was outside of my typical uniform. But they were my MOST complimented piece in my wardrobe. Just took some getting used to seeing that kind of fabulous piece on ME, not just a model 😉
