Nobody could like Corporal Lawrence. He was a plain man, average height, average build, bland of voice and action. He tended to stare a beat or two longer than was acceptable at people. He rarely slept as well, and bunkmates said he would mumble in his sleep almost constantly. But it all got much worse when the young man fell into a mysterious black hole filled with slime and dirt. This mysterious hole sent Corporal Lawrence into spiral, forever changing him into menacing SCP-106, now referred to as "The Old Man".

Realistically in ww1 if a soldier in the group had no paper work he would be assumed to be a spy, this has happened before

Sooo to sum it up the “ corporal” was an anomaly that had chose the wrong place at the wrong time that met another anomaly and that made basically a whole new anomaly

So he was an anomaly from the start, but the “substance” changed him

"Every soldier who slept in the same barrack as him got trenchfoot."

Sir this is WW1, everyone who dared to breathe inside of a trench got trench foot.

I remember that when he fought the "Shy Guy" he dragged him somwhere lower than the pocket dimension and it was a ww1 war zone.

"followed by a bubbling, muffled giggle..."
*sound of shouting laughter*

See, what if he was somehow born from the horrors of this war itself? An anomaly caused by the sheer amount of death and suffering, it then encountered another anomaly possibly caused by something similar. Creating, him.

So this implies that SCP-106 is actually a symbiotic relationship between two anomalies. How unsettling.

"One man known to have bludgeoned a german to death with a brick, curled into a sobbing heap."
"I fear no man. But that... thing, it scares me!"

It’s so crazy seeing something of this quality come out of seemingly nowhere. Keep up the good work!
