For folks struggling the second phase, you can summon your an ash right after the initial lightning nuke, let it get Radahn agro which will hugh your summon, by the end of the hugh you will be able to get 1 - 2 free full casts into Radahn, making the second phase much shorter. You will probably need to dodge the flying attack at least once anyways. I used the dung eater for this. Good luck!

Min/Maxxing tips:

Albinauric mask is kinda wasted here because the Albinauric staff soft caps at 80 arc (including blood loss buildup) with a DRAMATIC decline. I would recommend replacing Albinauric mask with alberich hat, and replacing alberich legs with max-protection armor (the alberich legs don't actually boost anything).

Recommend replacing Outer god Talisman for the same reason (arcane over 80 is wasted points) Plenty of options such as graven Mass, golden braid, Two-Headed Turtle. Or intelligence increasing items, since there is still mileage to be had there.

Also, since you are capping out at 80 arcane, you might as well replace the finger seal with dragon Communion. It's weightless, and it will let you cast the rotten breath you have slotted far better. But also lets you cast any Incant you want, just in case you need them (I know you're only using golden vow but still)

What is your physic? For Radahn opaline Hardtear goes a long way

I’ve beat him several times now with two different characters but this most recent one I used the scarlet rot duelist axe with the lions claw ash of war with blood loss affinity. It was taking chunks out of him 15-20 hits max to finish, I think it’s been my best set up against him so far. Had 65 scarlet rot build up and 165 I believe in blood loss build up axe was maxed stat wise of course

After exhausting all my sorcery options I got a lucky poise break with thorns in phase 2 and managed to kill him. Unfortunately didn't summon Ansbach that fight and messed up Thiollier by not summoning him for Leda.

To anyone struggling, try this build. I was at a lost and ready to accept defeat, but this build saved me 😇. And it still feels fair in my opinion. I still had to dodge really well to be able to succeed, so it doesn't feel like a complete cheese 😁

I appreciate this video and the strategy. I have a mostly INT build but I also have upped my specs to use almost all (except the heaviest) weapons.

What I think would have been helpful is to say in the beginning that you are doing this with [80 Arcane]. Yikes!!

Slightly off-topic but in the FWIW category, the new "Staff of the Great Beyond" lets you cast both spells AND incantations. I have been enjoying playing with this in the end game myself.

So now I have attempted Monsieur Consort several times and the RNG on whether he kills you in the first 3 seconds or leisurely saunters up to the boss door still seems a bit confusing. I read somewhere it depends on whether you lock on to him...or not. But I don't find that to be the case.

Anyway your guide did make me curious and I even visited Esgar, Priest of Blood to borrow his talisman. Guess I missed him in the base game.

I used this build, and it worked wonders. Thanks for the suggestion. I was not having much fun with this one so this was helpful.

Funny story, though. I was using this build for maybe... 20 or so tries, and just vould get him in the second phase. I thought that maybe it had to do with your scadutree level being higher, but I am on new game, so that shouldn't have been the issue. Decided to throw in the mimic tear once to see how he fairs, and the mimic died instantly, reminding me I had not upgraded him on this character. Then it hit me, my albinoric staff was level 0... and I beat him in three more tries when I realized that.

I still managed to get through 2/3rds of his health with a plus 0 staff, so this build is still definitely insane.

Do you have any recommendations for the armor set? Unfortunately I didn’t pick this up prior to the end of game and now would have to do ng+ to get it. Is there any alternatives that would boost thornes?

I'm convinced my experience is far worse than everyone elses.. Radahn in his second faze does not stop attacking he literally goes from one combo to next. There's the shortest window to use the thorn before he hits you and my thorns don't hit as hard as I'm seeing and I restat putting my arcane to like 70 as well as my faith. Used everything u recommended lol I'm tired so very tired lol this boss is Bull$hit.

Yeah I got him this way my first time around and that was without it being optimized. Impenetrable Thorns is crazy OP. It's based on FAITH tho, not Arcane. I tried it both ways and was getting higher returns on FAITH with the outfit and staffs to go with it.
