Recently, Twitter made an announcement that their new CEO will be Parag Agarwal. He is an Indian-American, i.e. an American with Indian roots. Parag was born in Ajmer (Rajasthan), he is an alumnus of IIT Bombay. So the news was bound to gather the attention of Indians. Some people congratulated him and expressed happiness, while others said that this is nothing in it to celebrate. It also reignited the topic of brain drain. In this video, I explain the concept of Brain Drain and why it doesn’t make much sense.

Here 75% attendance is more mandatory than a student understanding the subject.

I am a civil engineer by profession.
Worked in India for almost 4 years and never got promoted. I was told to work for more than 60 hours per week because I just worked 40 hours pw and always leave the office by 6.

Moved to Australia and became a project manager in less than 8 months.

10 times the salary and opportunity to be move up the hierarchy and be within the young leadership spectrum.

4:24, Tata is the only company in which the CEOs are chosen and not from the families. Proud of Sir Ratan Tata, JRD Tata, and Jamshedji Tata😊

I remember once Abdul kalam sir says in one of his lecture about brain drain that" cross the ocean to acquire the knowledge, and there is nothing wrong in it Bt India should attract foreign talent.... We should built such kind of infrastructure and research program so that people also from rest of the world will desire to come here and thats why i don't believe in the concept of Brain drain"💓

I am African and i can speak Hindi. Many people used to tell me learning Hindi was a waste of time compared to English. Nowadays indian youtubers are being my go for content. Incredibly that puts you in the first spot. My language skill paid off eventually.

Feeling proud for other's achievements is the reason why a lot are failing in our country daily. 😂😂

I am a part of the IT industry and I have personally faced many issues in companies. Employees are not treated well and talent is not given recognition. People are considered like slaves and there is no freedom to express and work in the way we wish without mangers and higher positions interfering. And i believe there is nothing wrong with leaving the country if you get better opportunities where companies truly respect and appreciate your work

I literally struggled for 3 years to get opportunities in research areas but there are huge political issues and corruption everywhere. There are no smooth system in research areas in Indian colleges. The students have to protest daily instead of study. I faced this disgusting system in reality. So I start planning to go to USA and guess what they recognise my talent and give me that respect what I wanted for a long time. Education has no importance in India, only dirty politics have, 24/7 coverage in media. Thanks Dhruv for making this video. This video need to be viral so that everyone can know about it. 🔥

India is a very discriminatory society. Corrupt, and discriminatory. There are no real public companies driven by innovation. All family affairs or recommendations. Hard to put the best talent as CEOs.

Worked in the IT industry for 9 years in India. Unless you knew how to please upper management, you'd remain stuck without scope for growth or hikes in your salary. Despite it being a huge risk, I left India right before the pandemic, and am currently working at one of the best growing tech companies in the country where I feel valued, respected, positive about my future, and much more - all that with more than ten times the money. I couldn't stand the politics and the hate. I'd always be reminded that I could be replaced with a 12th grade pass out. I had to fight my peers, lose and feel anxious all the time. And here, now, I work at a place where my manager asks me to take a day or two off and says he'll take care of my work. It's an incredible feeling that once you know will never let go and turn your back on. While I understand that I am more privileged than a lot of other people in our country, I couldn't NOT say this, Dhruv brought back a lot of memories.

Real talent will be seen openly when parents and relatives stop focusing on marks and focus on increasing creativeness

And from the beginning parents should understand and teach their children to not discriminate on the basis of religion, caste, community and race . And people should raise voice against wrong doings in the country.
Edit:- Guys there is something called individualism. I have commented this on my behalf not on my religion's behalf so stop judging me by my religion. ( for those who are commenting nonsense)

U are right👍 sometimes I also feel to leave India and go there. Here people are of very conservative mindset. What our Vedas and scriptures told us we Indians do everything opposite to it🙄

I was asked to write different competitive exams before getting into good University. But lately i began to feel it's just to waste my time. I just went and took admission in abroad university and surprised to see the education system there. In India we had one teacher for 60-70 students in high school and secondary school. But now I'm studying engineering and here for 12 students we have 4 mentors and one professor. I love studying here. My professors come and sit beside me and teaches me. Even they answer my calls late night. They even invite me to thier house during holidays to teach me. And here in the university we don't need any permission to go to lab as we have one structure and material for single student. During my high school 5-7 students used to use one material in lab...
