I think Python is easy if you are new to programming, but if you have time to learn and get groom yourself then better go with Java..Java is the Mother of all programming languages ofcourse C-language comes first. But Python is strictly for newbies.First Java and then Python....if you know java very well and then you can be rockstar in selenium with Python..My honest review....

Hi Mukesh, i worked as a software test engineer in manual testing for approx 2 years. After that due to some personal things i had a huge gap in my career. Now again i want to restart my career. To be frank i don't have idea in any programming language and also i haven't learn any automation tool. I might be wrong, but after working on Java I switched to Python. I feel support, frameworks are better in Java and you can easily get some solution if you get stuck. Especially when start putting your projects on Jenkins.
