Thanks Dennis for the Great Video. You have convinced me to stay with my older reels after watching you work with all the small pieces and parts of these "modern" spinning reels. Sometimes modern is not the best alternative for a "modern-day" fisherman. How many of these reels will be put into early retirement?

Hello 👋 Denis I have some old Mitchell reels and I'm in need of a screw (metric) for the outer plate of the reel, I haven't been able to find one here. The reel in problems is 9200 made in Japan and only god nows how old it is, I can say it's over 40 yrs. It's a great reel and I can use it as it is but I would love very much to find the svrew that it's missing and maybe a couple more for any future repiars and maintenance jobs on this reel and some of my other Mitchell reels. Thank you for your help. I enjoy very much your videos they are very helpful to me, you have a great and blessed w/e. 👍

I Love your videos, Dennis! I have the Diawa Saltist back bay spinning "Magsealed" reel. The first year I had the reel, I wanted to do my own annual maintenance so I could learn about it. I do that with all my reels. I just don't have the time to do them myself every year. I had to purchase the MagOil before doing the maintenance $60!!! My question is, why didn't you re-apply the Magseal oil to the magnetic plate to help protect against intrusion of water & other grime? Is it completely necessary or can I get away without applying it every time?

I know I sound like a broken record but if only this reel had an AR override. I don’t know if I care for the spring actuated anti-reverse. Is it secondary to the AR clutch bearing? I wanted to ask you something about the oscillation gear in the Penn 850ss that you found for me. The post on that oscillation gear just sat in the hole on top of the gear. There was nothing holding that post in that gear. It is simply a post seated in a hole. Is this correct? I wondered if this oscillation gear and post was broken. Though this Daiwa seems somewhat complex, I have never worked on a spinning reel as complicated as an Abu Garcia CD6 6000 center drag reel. It is unbelievable! When I did that reel I felt a profound sense of accomplishment that;s for sure. I imagine this Daiwa was not cheap. I have a Daiwa Emcast spinning reel that I had given my son-in-law. It actually has two small ball bearings inside the pinion gear. I’ve never seen that in any other reel. Unfortunately this reel had some broken parts that I could not find replacements for so it is now a parts reel. I;m still upset with that reel failure. I greatly enjoyed this video as I had not seen this reel before. — Chris

Hey Dennis, big fan of yours! I was wondering if you should have replaced/added mag oil to the magsealed plate. Was there enough to ensure the seal? Again thanks for the great videos, they are truly an ispiration!
