How to write Scientific Names | Binomial Nomenclature

Is it necessary to underline genus and species while writing in abbreviated form?

The laws & principals of Binomial Nomenclature according to ICZN (International Code of Zoological Nomenclature) are mentioned below:-
1) The language of the scientific naming of an organism would be in Latin.
2) The scientific name of an animal must have two parts. The first part of the name is the 'Genus' and the second part of the is the 'Species'
3) Every scientific name must be unique, because a same legitimate name can't be used for naming two distinct organisms.
4) If it is written in hand then both the genus and the species of the name should be underlined separately.
5) Again, If it is printed then the printing form should be in Italics style.
6) The first alphabet of the first part ( Genus) would be in capital with the remaining alphabets in small type, and all the letters of the second part (Species) would be totally in small type.

PhD zoologist here...
The title is at odds with the content. The content details _some_ scientific names and their conventions, but not all taxonomic ranks are covered. Most obvious is the omission of the subspecies name convention (same as the species name; starts with lower case). And simply stating that the names of taxa at all other ranks have a capital is a big jump in inclusion!
