The Posca pen do add to the style but how long do they last before the tip get to contaminated by other colours?

I’m not an expert painter, I’m just now beginning to learn/understand color selection…. My question is….. if it was a cloudy day, wouldn’t the colors of everything be dull? In other words, in my mind, your painting does not make sense…. ‘cause I would think that colors would be vibrant when it is a sunny day. But in your painting, colors are very vibrant while the sky is cloudy. I hope someone can answer my question because I think my question relates to color selection and mood of paintings.
