On Tuesday night, the New York Police Department forcefully took back control of a Columbia University building from violent pro-Palestinian protesters, arresting many in the process. Hundreds of officers in riot gear entered the Ivy League campus in Manhattan to clear out the agitators who had forcefully entered Hamilton Hall the previous day. Officers, equipped with helmets and zip-tie handcuffs, used a ladder to access a second-floor window and entered the building. During the operation, they used devices that emitted loud bangs to distract the protesters.
