As well as being supported by celeb friends like Danny Dyer, Paddy McGuinness, Keith Lemon, Bez (Happy Monday’s) and Rowetta, we also had the honour of recording with NHS & front-line workers and London Community Gospel Choir!

Big thank you to Keith Allen & Co-writers Alex James & Guy Pratt for giving us their blessing to put a new spin on the song in support of the NHS. And to Deliveroo for helping us make it all a reality.

The video for Vindaloo Two was filmed under strict COVID-19 protocols with the parade being filmed marching down Hoxton Street Market, where the original video was made in 1998.

We wanted to re-release Vindaloo to bring the nation together after such a tough time. It’s such an uplifting song and it’ll give football fans something extra to sing about because every time someone streams or buys the single, they’ll be saying thank you to the NHS.

"Vindaloo" is a song by the British band Fat Les. The music was co-written by Blur bassist Alex James and bassist Guy Pratt. The lyrics were written by comedian Keith Allen. It was released as a single in 1998 and recorded for the 1998 FIFA World Cup.

The song was originally written as a parody of football chants, but was adopted as one in its own right and became a cult classic.

The Association of NHS Charities, operating as NHS Charities Together, is a federation of over 250 charitable organisations that supports all the devolved National Health Service (NHS), their staff, volunteers and patients, in the United Kingdom.

The organisation acts as a collective voice for NHS charities as well as coordinating national fundraising efforts.

The charity came to increased prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic, when 99-year old Captain Tom Moore raised over £30 million for them, by walking laps of his garden, and releasing a single with Michael Ball, which went to number 1 in the UK charts.

Much of the song consists of the phrase "nah nah nah" and the word "vindaloo" repeated over and over by a mixed group, occasionally interspersed with lines such as "And we all like vindaloo" and "We're England; we're gonna score one more than you".

The song's name comes from the vindaloo, a type of very spicy Goan curry. It is often eaten by football supporters in the United Kingdom (and other nations) accompanied by large quantities of lager, after matches or as part of a "lads' night out". "Vindaloo" reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in June 1998; it was beaten by "3 Lions '98" by David Baddiel and Frank Skinner and Lightning Seeds, a re-release of football anthem "Three Lions" from 1996 with slightly altered lyrics.

This American is rooting for the Lionesses to win the 2023 Women's World Cup. I LOVE this song...I love the enthusiasm...and I love the pride shown in this song. Made me want to yell out my window.

Good luck to the Lionesses...football's coming home, and cheers.

If Covid-19 has done one good thing it’s bought humanity to its roots.
It’s made us miss our loved ones making the time we now have extra special, it’s bought the fun of simply being out doors back, it’s bought the England football matches that little more special.

It’s coming home. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

As a nurse, happy to see someone wearing her tunic and yellow badge with pride and not making ridiculous TikToks. I’m a foreigner but I was happy to risk it for the country that’s brought me so much joy.
