Her Nissan NV High Roof Camper Van w/ Convertible Bed

Lisa has lived off and on for four years in her Nissan NV 2500 High-roof tiny home on wheels called Free Bird! She has a remarkable perspective on life after her mother passed from Breast Cancer. Once following what society would claim to be the responsible choice of becoming a lawyer, she now is pursuing her passion for acting! Her bed converts into bench seating, and although it can completely fold away, she leaves half made for her two cats to have a comfortable space to hang out. A Dometic fridge fits snug between the seats, and a dry flush toilet fits perfectly under the kitchen countertop.

This is one of the best van life videos I've seen. Lisa, her van and her story are captivating and inspiring. The van's design is perfect. I've never even liked the Nissan NV when I've seen it in other videos but what Lisa has done with hers changes my mind.

Like everyone else, this is the BEST conversion ever. It's perfect. I have one question and a suggestion - how do you keep the cats from wandering away when you might want to be driving on for the day, and you might want to start growing wheatgrass for them to keep in the van - it's healthy for them and that's why they were eating the plants. You can buy wheatgrass seeds in bulk, just add dirt and water, they sprout in a few days and a crop lasts a week or more. If you're in a grassy area you can always pull some grass for them to eat but you never know if the grass has been treated or might be otherwise dangerous for them.

You are so right about just do it! I'm 71 and my wife is 66. We got a boxtruck and built a bed in it. We purchased a Trelino toilet, and an Alpicool. Our son was having surgery in Seattle and the boxtruck wasn't finished. So we made sandwiches, packed a few clothes and, just did it. We learned so much doing that too. So now we are going to get insulation and I'm going to install a diesel heater. Our next investment is going to be ac!

Good for you honey, see sometimes when we think something bad has happened to us it was actually a blessing in disguise. I had a big wake up when I lost my mom unexpectedly 3 years ago too. Yes, loving ourselves and being happy is the most important thing. I’m glad your plans worked out for you in the end. Your a great role model for others.

That was a very good video. I love freebird. I've had my nv2500 for a while I absolutely love it. Great van very very reliable and easy to work on. Right now I am getting a house in Colorado already to sell it needs a ton of work though and I've been working on it for quite a while, seems like it never ends. I look forward to watching more your videos.
