That's my favorite Corvette, however 62k is the restored price in my opinion.

The owner is like a lollipop asking 62.5k in a world full of suckers 🤣

I sold my 62 vette for 1300 dollars in the early 70s. My was white with red inside. It had never been in the snow

For those people saying the C1 is their favorite Vette, I suggest you go drive one, or at least sit in one. If you can squeeze behind the steering wheel, the next obstacle will be the windshield frame blocking your vision. They handle and ride like crap too. The one in this video isn't worth half of what he is asking for it.

I have enjoyed driving and wrenching on my fathers 1959 corvette for over 40 years. The car is very much a driver with much of the original suspension intact. There is no doubt that the car is crude in many ways and larger people will find it a tight fit, im fine at 6' 210lbs but larger than that is tough. However it is one of the funest cars I've had my hands on! Its crudeness is part of its appeal and its looks are 2nd to few cars. Ergonomicly the dash is laid out properly and everything is an easy smart reach. The holes in the steering wheel perfectly aline with the gauges, so they are always visible. The build quality is surprisingly good and they are easy to work on. These cars are about the look, sound and the visceral experience of driving or riding in them that is hard to get in a modern car.

I love these old Corvettes. They're classic. As my uncle would say "if it's been found, you'll pay full price."

One of my favourite years of corvette but I think it is worth more like $40K

It's worth 35k tops. He can hope for some one who just has to have it.👍

I have all series of Vetts from C1 to a C8 but my C5 Convertible is my daily driver.
My C2 split window was very advanced in design for its time in Automotive History.

I used to drive my cousins 62’ Vette 327 CID 340 hp as much as he did . Those were the days . His was black with a red interior.
What a fun, fun, fun car to drive .
I remember his best friend buying a 63’ split window and us racing three different times.

It really depends on whether it’s a fuel injected 327 or a carbureted 327! Huge difference young man.

Gorgeous. C1 and the chrome C3s are my absolute favorites.

Has a New York inspection sticker and that means that someone in the Hamptons or upstate will buy it sight unseen and the person has everything in place for a quick sale..

Here is a comparison for you:
I was privileged to have at my disposal a 1996 NSX, driving a combined 5/600 miles. One day I blasted up CT RT 7 on the Housatonic River Road between the Kent Bridge and the Cornwall Covered Bridge. What a blast. I went home and hopped into my fully restored 1970, 350/350HP Corvette. What a let down. I was So disapointed. It felt like I was driving a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle compared to the 270HP NSX. And my 70 drive/handles so much better than the C1's solid axle and a box girder X frame. Don't get me wrong, I fully enjoy my 70!

Take the 62k plus estimated restoration cost. And compare it to what the car is worth fully restored. That will tell you if 62k is worth it

Had a 61 Corvette in 1973, it was an original 283 two four-barrel car, the worst thing about the car was the wiring, it all had to have a ground wire to the frame somewhere, and wiring don't last forever, that would be my biggest concern on a car that old now, and that car that I had then is a 70k car now; great body style and fun to drive.
