the explanation is perfectly correct. If somebody is not able to understand then make sure that u have understood the previous normal forms correctly rather than pointing out problem in concept.

Great videos and straight to the point explanations. Thank you sir.
There's one thing unclear though: I thought I understood that being in 3NF means 2NF and 1NF are achieved. Now, to be in 1NF, one FD must have atomic values (RHS). In this case, A->BCD should had the form A->B, A->C and A->D. Did I misunderstood something? (or was just a shortcut?) Thanks.

Thank you for your tutorials but I think you should correct all the errors before uploading or upload correct versions after an error. Thanks again.

We moved d->b into second relation so we could make BCNF but shouldn't that already be done to make 3NF?

what you are saying that
A -->BCD
BC -->AD
D -->B is in 3NF but if you see closely that C.key here is A, BC and also non-prime attribute B is dependent on another non prime attribute D which violates the condition of much confusing.

Siddhi Viradiya It is not in 3NF as you can see CD is a candidate key and in FD D->B, D is a Part(ck).
 so it is violating the rule of being in 3NF.

the given example is not in 3NF form and you are using it for BCNF as per your stated definition.
