The Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 is overpriced and I wouldn't recommend buying one unless you can get a really good deal.

As far as I am concerned software update policy is specification just like ram, storage, and screen resolution. Glad to see you include it in your reviews. If a manufacturer can't deliver consistent security updates, I will not even consider purchasing their phone.

I paid $192.11 for mine and that's what they protected case as well an upgrades fees and everything that's the total bill it's at cricket wireless and actually like this phone myself I took some videos when it takes good videos it plays music really well you can customize your equalizer settings on it and it's not bad

If you really need a stylus you can just get a used note 20 or note 10 plus 5g and have better stylus features and about the same software life.

Definitely considering getting this to see what it's all about. Probably is overpriced though. Only way you should get this is on a deal, like you said.

Thanks for the review I was wanting a android phone with an SD card support and also a headphone jack cause I got 60 gigs of music that I want to plug-in anyway think I’ll pass on this one with the one year of software updates that’s a problem.

I never get how a phone can suddenly become fantastic at a lower pricepoint.
Even people that are low on money can postpone buying something and save some more for something great or.. really fantastic.

Not really worth buying a Motorola phone full-stop/period thesedays, given they offer very-poor software updates. Either go for a midrange Samsung, a cheaper Nokia, or the Pixel 6a, all of which offer years of support instead.

What's funny is that on their website they are now selling the 512 GB for $449 lol. What were they thinking, they lost an opportunity here.

Speaking of stylus phones, the TCL Stylus 5G was just released today for T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile. It costs $258.

No carrier has this device with 8gb RAM. I checked with, Verizon, Metro, Cricket, Tmobile, Mint, ATT, and they all checked the back of their Moto G Stulus 5G 2022 Box and it said 4GB Ram.

I am done buying phones from Motorola because of the bad update record. I believe the Razr is still waiting to get android 12.

Would you consider bringing in the Motorola edge 2021 for review?

I just bought the 2021 version of this phone; Amazon and Motorola still have them in stock, new, for $249. At that price, it's a good value if you can ignore the sickly green housing color. Why this phone? I have some must-have feature requirements: 3.5mm audio jack, and micro-SD card support. And those two features are almost non-existant in anything but the low-end and mid-range phones now. I could afford to spend $750 or even a bit more on a flagship phone like the Samsung S22 or the OneTouch 10, and it would be nice to have the really good camera and fast AMOLED screens that you get in flagship phones, but for some reason I can't quite figure out, SD cards and 3.5mm audio jacks are gone from all of them now.
So, my short-list was the Moto G and the OneTouch Nord N20; Only $10 price difference, and both had the 3.5mm jack and SD card slot, but ultimately, the Moto G is a more versatile phone: it has the radio frequencies for all the major US carriers, whereas the Nord N20 can't be used with Verizon. I'm a T-Mobile customer currently, but if Verizon ever offers a plan priced close to T-Mobile's Senior plan, I'd probably switch because frankly, T-Mobile's coverage in rural areas sucks; Verizon has way better coverage in remote areas in the Western states. But prices are coming down: when this video was made, only 4 months ago, the Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 was indeed $499. It's now $349 on Amazon, and that's with 8/256gB of internal memory, plus a 256 gB SD card thrown in. If it had a better camera, with that much internal storage and RAM, it'd be almost as good as some of the $1, 000 flagship phones.

I just got this Moto the other day for $299 from Amazon due to damage on my Pixel Pro 6. I wished I bought this Moto before buying the Pixel. I multi-task and use it for work. I am sorry but the Moto 8 Ram beats the Pixel 12 Ram. I could care less for wireless charging or the camera. It's smoother and the battery lasts longer than the Pixel. It was going to cost $315 to fix my 6 Pro, but no parts were available from three vendors. My only concern with the Moto is that it doesn't have stereo speakers, but the speaker is good so this is not a deal breaker.

I got for 267 at metro. But even though the processor it's relatively ok, the camera is terrible NGL. But I can't return it at this point. Anyhow I needed it because my other ZTE blade from 2016 literally died when I tried to charge it and my fingers almost melted on from the cord.

Metro pcs has it free for new customers. Phone arena says it has 2 speakers and I saw a video where the guy said it's 60fps

Thanks for the honest thoughts, and I agree it's not worth full price, I find moto is a good company but only with there flagship phones, I have the 2020 moto Edge plus 5G it came with Android 10 and I got both software updates and alot of security patches and I'm getting another in a few days, I honestly recommend the flagship phones only with moto they seem to support them better that's my opinion, I wouldn't trade my phone for anything, 12 GB's of ram, 256 storage, snap dragen 865 etc it's an excellent phone, waiting in the new razer
