Im in houston. Today is day 4 without electricity. It's very hot and humid all day and night. But at least we have food and our house did not get damaged

Trucker with 2 years experience I drove through a tornado in Texas last year at night. It was a scary and thrilling experience and I wasn't sure I would make it through the other side but I did as I focused on punching though it like a bullet train. It was my 1st time going through one. I was weighing around 78, 000 lbs and speeds were 45-50 ish mph. There was another trucker besides me possibly with allot more experience and I kept going because he kept going. Knowing a tornado can flip a stopped truck and the truck would have possibly been exposed to tornado allot longer if stationary but either way I think I made the right decision to punch through it as quickly as I did but it's still something I don't wish to experience again either way. It was a thrilling experience I doubt I'll ever forget.

These series of severe weather sure have legs to them. If the warm weather keeps up, which I’m sure they will, does that mean south TX will keep seeing these weather patterns for at least a few more weeks?

If these people are going to rebuild, they should be looking to have low profile buildings and maybe build partially under ground and don't forget those hurricane strong-ties.

No El Niño this year. Instead we are calling it “the heat dome”. Our editor won’t let us say that which must not be mentioned.

After lugging it up to our 3rd story i was informed by apartment management im not allow to have a generator and now not allowed to return to home depot since i poured gas in it but didnt use it. Its been rough but luckily power came on that night.

Is there a reason why the powerlines in the US aren't underground?

The way that house just collapsed. Impressive how bad American construction is.

Well the good thing about this was we saw how poorly built that structure was. Saved someone's life and finances revealing that in the video 🤷🏽‍♀️

You seen the house fall. It's because that house was designed like a deck of cards. Here in texas they charge you 500k for a house only to build it like 23k concrete is poured one week the next week they are building
