Liverpool FC have officially trained at their Melwood training facility for the last time, leaving the West Derby Complex to move to a new development in Kirby after 70 years. The Anfield Wrap wanted to tell the stories of Melwood that we don't often hear, told by those who have lived in the shadow of Liverpool's training ground down the years. I grow up in west Derby all my life an am from the area an I can only echo whats these lads all said goin to melwood more or less every day just to see the lads training an try to get them to sign things on there way out after training the area won't be the same now its gone its sad for everyone who lives or from west Derby

The world is changing, and football will continue to change. A super league will alter the landscape even further, but in ways we don't even realise yet. Everything down to the minutest blade of grass is now commodified. I know someone who paid £5, 000 for a "Melwood morning" with Klopp and some of the players.... or some other event of such sort. I can't even get my head around spending that kind of money just to meet celebrities when there is so much suffering in the world.
