Nieve has serious ball knowledge. Gallagher will do all the work x10 better than any of the others. Allows Bellingham to play high rice to control and also attack. Rice has been on set pieces his game has evolved to a more creative player. Gallagher allows both to do this

In the latter stages of the tournament, England is going to face the best teams and it makes sense to be a little conservative. Foden can come on when you’re down by a goal or if you want to go all out attack in the second half
