The Carding Process

A controlled carding function is key for the quality of any nonwoven. This animation focuses on the carding process. A cylinder and worker roller with typical wire shapes are shown here. The selection of the wire shape, the spacing and the speed ratio of the rollers achieves the desired functions on each point of the roller card and produces a uniform web.
