I survived a car vs pedestrian impact by a reckless driver on friday ( August 23rd 2019). :( I had the walk sign and driver was making a left at a fast pace. Braked too late and hit me. I survived but am in Great Pain!

The person's speed after the collision will be not equal to the speed of a car, but twice as fast.

HARDLY rocket science ... Walk into the path of 1500 KG of metal on wheels moving at 30 MPH (48 KM/H) and you WILL be injured or killed
PUT YOUR MOBILE PHONE DOWN AND WATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING WHEN YOU CROSS A ROAD...
THAT TEXT MESSAGE CAN WAIT A FEW SECONDS ... DON'T BE A DUMMY WHEN YOU CROSS THE ROAD OK

So basically if you don’t hit the brakes, no one will know how fast you were travelling :)

it's hard to believe we live in a scientific world that knows the physics of cars crashing in people, when still in 2021 it's still worldwide mandatory that the cyclists drive on the lane instead of pavement.
