What an incredibly hard and delicate situation. I can understand the wife's issues with it. The person she fell in love with has changed appearance completely. However a lot of transgender people only change as a last resort. It is impossible to understand that, unless you experience it yourself. I see it a bit as walking in shoes that don't fit properly. You'll be uncomfortable, but OK for a while. But eventually the pain and the blisters will get unbearable. In which case the only option is to change shoes. I really hope things worked out for everyone in that family. God bless them❤

The ignorance and judgement in these comments is telling. Every family goes through tough times. They seem to be working it out. As to him/her being selfish, I disagree. It was necessary. Why should she be unhappy while three are? Sometimes one has to do what one needs to do ... and one can only pray that they will have the support of their loved ones. I'd far rather have a happy parent than an unhappy one.
