One of his worst moments was when he was strangling Bart, and when Marge asked him why he was strangling him, he couldn’t think of a reason and continued to strangle him. Bart also said during a therapy session that Homer hits him with hammers, which is even worse than strangling him!

I must point out, the pig waste that Homer dumped into the lake mutate the animals in it. I have to ask, what has he been feeding Spider Pig for that to happen? Homer does mention, when Marge asked about how the pig filled the whole silo, that “Well, I helped, ” so it could be that. If that’s the case, could Homer and, consequently, Homer’s ‘leavings’ (as Marge puts it) be radioactive or irradiated?

Homer was abused by his father most of his childhood. Also he has a crayon in his head that may cause him to do stuff like this + originally homer was like around 36 when cartoon started in 1989, so he was born around in 1953, and needless I don't have to say how rough not only parenting, but time itself were in that period

You missed the Y2K THoH episode where he never completed the Y2K upgrade at the plant which led to every nuclear power plant on the planet exploding leading to the destruction of the entire planet. I’m pretty sure that was the greatest damage
