Trading Diary: Different Ways to Journal your Trades 📖

We know the importance of writing notes about your trading but let's look at some different days to actually do the journalling process.

How To Keep a Trade Journal
- Notepad or Diary - nothing fancy - trades I took, trades I failed..etc
- Dedicated Software - Edgewonk, TraderVue - these are dedicated journal software, these are good but can be too much. I'd also suggest Trello which is not specific to traders but is quite easy to use.
- Notepad / Notes - the point of the journal is to get started - just jot something down.
- Video - if you like doing a video you could film yourself trading like a kind of a vlog.
- Dictation - you can just talk about it or transcribe the audio to text.

interesting. I use a notebook--the ordinary notebook with paper, pages...I do not write in a very complicated and structured way.... But the journal is what helps me review what I have been doing so far

i use evernote and its almost perfect...also a charts can be attached so its more helpful

Typing full paged "blog posts" is a really great way for getting journalism done.

I have a journal but I haven’t used it to log my trades as such but more so what I’ve tried to pick up on when trying this & that, like does this pattern work?, what happens if I try & frame a move over xyz etc etc, the more I try stuff & either dismiss it or not the closer I get, you find patterns repeat themselves but the trick is to try & understand when & why that happen & when & why they don’t.. 📈
