Making Music with your Launchpad Mini in Live 11

when you go to the drum pad after selecting a kit to put in the MIDI, you're able to play all of those notes on the bottom left grid. i tried following along but only 2 of the sounds will play the rest seem to do things in ableton live, i just see things moving on the screen. very confused please help.
EDIT: i also have 4-5 green buttons when im in the drums, ive tried making new sessions and i cant get it to work
