For me, I live a sustainable lifestyle because I love Mother Nature (the earth), I love her like other people love God, so I try everything in my power not to hurt her

As you say, it just feels like the right thing to do. I feel amazing producing a meal from the garden and there's nothing better for you really than getting your hands in the soil.

really interesting question. I just feel that if I can do it, I should. we as humans have done so much damage to a perfect system, that I genuinely feel responsible to the planet. I just don't want to do more damage.

When harvesting onions, I try save the green parts (I dislike them turning yellow and drying when they are still perfectly fine) and use them in pesto style sauces instead of white parts of onion, or chop them and dry / dehydrate for winter or freeze them.

I don't drive, haven't taken a flight in over 9 years and try to minimise meat intake and packaging. I feel like having a pet cat is the major contributor to my carbon footprint but I'll always have pets ☺️

For me its never been about the planet. My sustainable swaps have been for convenience, frugality and laziness! The reusable bags meant always having a strong bag to carry my stuff. The water bottle and reusable sanitary products meant not constantly spending money in these areas and always having them on hand. Going package free meant fewer trips to the bin and less food wastage. The bicycle means no petrol bill, no gym bill and no traffic for me! I also don’t have to deal with the hassle of finding parking anymore, bike parking is usually right at the entrance for most places around here.

What cat food do you use? What's the little guy's name?

I love your videos. I completely agree! I noticed that you hung your onions and beets. Do you leave them there to stay fresh?

I do it because I want to (feels in alignment with my core values) and to tell big companies what the right thing is to do so they give more sustainable options. Being sustainable is so hard and it shouldn't be. It should be the easiest option. I hope that with every purchase, I skew the market more in the sustainable direction. Of course this is a long-term thing but I feel like change is happening already. "Be the good example you want to look up to" is a good way to live, I think. (But also be kind with yourself when it's not working all the time)

I never thought of this before but honestly, it looks really enjoyable I doubt I would be able to keep a plant more than a day though😅

Because it feels like the right thing to do in a soul level, I want to be part of the Give Back Generation. This planet is so generous and bountiful in the resources it gives us, I can’t take that for granted and want to take as little and give back as much as I can 🤍🙏🏻🌍
