Well that answered my question. I remember asking a month ago if racism toward white ethnics could return, the way arabophobia did after 9/11 or anti Asian hate did after covid, and it looks like the answer is a resounding yes. God forbid anyone from Italy, Poland or Ireland does something messed up that affects America in some way or alot of people are gonna suffer for it here. My sympathy is with the innocent russians who did nothing wrong, but are about to face hate and distrust for being the wrong ethnicity at the wrong time.

The sad thing is that this wouldn't be the last time a Russian restaurant abroad was targeted. Lots of Russian restaurants in the US and elsewhere have been losing customers or even harassed merely for being Russian. (Not to mention many Russians in the US live here because they wanted to get away from Putin's fascist regime.)
