Star Wars Legion Terrain Miniature Modular Trenches for Wargaming

In this wargaming terrain tutorial we're going to add to our star wars legion terrain set by making up some fairly simple modular trenches in the same style as we did for our sci-fi tower in the last video.

It will be basic materials again this time with just 50mm XPS foam and some craft (EVA) foam, although I will be using a hot wire foam cutting table to make some of the cuts here. On that note, thank you to @NatesMiniatures for sending me this foam cutting table, it was a great fun tool to play with, and I can certainly see the appeal of the better quality cutters out there.

Panels look very appropriate for Star Wars. Makes sense there wouldn’t be any sprue pipes/conduits on the side facing enemy fire.

Looking really good. If I may suggest, consider adding corner pieces so that you can have deeper recesses in the line, or even a whole corner post for the fortification.
Historically, the zig-zag pattern was used to block lines of fire down the trench and to prevent shrapnel from going more than a few meters. This only worked when you had narrow sections with corners obscured by the walls though.

don't know if this could work but neoprene glue is quite strong and not abrasive, it would save you time for the big pieces

so good! i love the idea of those small corner angles. (also a bit of fine sandpaper on the bottom of guides will help give you a little more grip for your hot wire guides! well the non moving ones anyway)

Cracking as always! The texture/greebling could easily be adjusted to be more grimdark - or less - for a lighter, cheery, brighter future...where armed conflict takes place in trenches...yeah...anyway they can be as cheery or grim as you may desire. Cheers!
