Throughout the 30 years I have been playing music, I have learned the craft of (coincidentally) 30 instruments🎶
13 - Baglamas. The baglama is the smallest of the bouzouki family. It is a three course instrument similar to the Tzouras (featured previously) but tuned an entire octave higher. It was primarily used in the Rebetiko (Greek Blues) ensemble and often played accompaniments/chords as an accent to songs. This instrument was once outlawed due to its connection with hash houses (tekes) and even rumored to double as a pipe by the Rebetes (blues musicians).
Song: Kaneis Edw Den Tragouda (N. Papazoglou)
